The Heart of Maine Makes Miracles Happen for Local Kids!

We have a wonderful list of reasons to be grateful, and the team at the Professional Logging Contractors of the Northeast, their members and supporters are always among the top on our list. On Friday, Dana Doran, executive director, Professional Logging Contractors of the Northeast, presented a check to Kelly Pearson, director of Philanthropy, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Foundation, and Kate Richardson, senior philanthropy manager, MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, for a record-breaking $297,519. These funds were raised at the Professional Logging Contractors of the Northeast’s annual dinner and auction in May, at two golf tournaments in Maine held in August and September, and at a number of smaller events held throughout the year in both Maine and Vermont. The money supports Eastern Maine Medical Center, MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, and the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital, all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the northeast.
We are incredibly grateful for the tremendous support from Maine’s forest products industry – often know as the heart of Maine. Every year this community digs deeper and deeper to help our patients, their families, and the teams of doctors and nurses who care for them. Without this invaluable support, we wouldn’t have the resources needed to care for kids as close to home as Bangor. Thank you to everyone involved!
