Maine Logging Community Tees off for Miracles

A huge thank you to the 160 golfers from Maine’s logging and forest products industry who tee’d off for miracles on Friday, September 21 at the annual Log a Load for Maine Kids Golf Tournament at Jato Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln.

The cold temperatures and damp conditions didn’t dampen the spirits, and everyone in their Boston Red Sox apparel certainly brought a smile to miracle child, Noah’s face, as he shared his story of hope and courage with everyone that morning.

The tournament raised $72,000 to help make miracles happen for children receiving care at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Bangor, and coupled with the funds raised at the annual Professional Logging Dinner and Auction, Maine’s logging and forest products industry raised more than $118,000 to help doctors and nurses buy the technology, programs, and services they need to care for kids, like Noah, who beat bacterial meningitis at three weeks old!
